It is hand made by a small collective of former Fortuny artisans in Italy. The patterns for each piece are created by using the hand carved wooden blocks in the style of the particular artisan responsible for the creation of that piece. The velvet is hand dyed and hand stamped with hand blended dyes and the shimmering metallic ink overlays are of the same formulation used by Mariano fortuny himself. The result....a one of a kind, uttely magnificent piece of fabric...almost art in and of itself...that will make incredible upholstery, pillows and many other World Class decorating items.
