This is an incredibly soft, silky velvet that is ideal for upholstery, drapery, bedding, pillows, slipcovers and about a thousand other items. There is a fair number of Scalamandre knockoffs on the market. Most if not all of them are Chinese knockoffs and upon examination are easy to see the inferiority compared to the real thing.....BUT not this fabric.
